As a photojournalist, I always look forward to engagement sessions which are held at places with special meaning to our clients. Longwood Gardens is such a place to our close family friends, Amy and Matt. They have spent so many days there, that it only seemed fitting for Matt to ask Amy to be his wife surrounded by its natural beauty. She said yes! So, team JPG had the honor of spending a few early evening hours with them during peak tulip season!
It looked as if we had hopped on a plane to Belgium, and the weather could not have been more lovely. We strolled around to their favorite spots, including a garden that the unofficial feline mascot of Longwood Gardens is known to frequent, for a few shots with him.
Afterwards, we headed over to Plaza Azteca, a great Mexican restaurant close by the gardens, to unwind and get our table-side guacamole on. Having a bite and an adult beverage is our favorite way to end a photo session and great way to get to know a couple better and to discuss their wedding vision further.
