Manayunk Arts Festival 2015

One of the major reasons I love living and working in Manayunk, is because all throughout the year, the city comes alive with different events. From the StrEAT Festival, to the International Cycling Classic,  the city hosts dozens of cultural and economic boosting events for the locals to enjoy. JPG is lucky enough to have been the official photographers for many of these events, including Manayunk’s Arts Festival, for the last two years in a row.

This festival is one of the popular favorites, as it ushers in hundreds of creative and inspiring artists to showcase and offer their crafts. My personal favorite was from an artist named Richard Aldorasi who dyes silk scarves, because his product and his booth were just bursting with vibrant color and attracted a huge gathering of people for every presentation. At JPG, a big part of our mission involves helping artists flourish in their creativity, and photographing events like this one reminds us of that goal.

The Arts Festival is not only great for artists, but also for non-profits who market there, and the community that comes together for the event. The Manaunk Arts Festival has celebrated 26 impressive and inspiring years, and is the largest outdoor juried arts festival in the tri-state area (Manayunk.com). Many thanks to our hometown for reaching out to us out again, and we are looking forward to celebrating the arts in our community for many years to come!

Best, Joe
