As Philly photographers who support non-profit’s and important causes, we were honored to document the Delaware Valley’s Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Chapter Philadelphia’s Finest gala this month to fundraise to combat the genetic disorder.
Cystic Fibrosis, or CF, is a life-threatening genetic disease that primarily affects the lungs and digestive system. An estimated 30,000 children and adults in the United States (70,000 worldwide) have CF, according to the Foundation. Money raised helps fund the non-profit’s effort to create life-improving medications attacking symptoms and finding a cure.
The Sheraton-Society Hill in Philadelphia added a classy touch to the gala, where the highest donors were honored with plaques for their generosity.
Everyone looked fantastic with food featured sushi, pre-made noodle bowls, and yummy pastas. The evening’s MC was 6ABC’s Action News Investigative Reporter, Wendy Saltzman. There was also a silent auction including freebies from the Victory Brewing Company, and autographed items from our own Philadelphia Eagles.
Some of the honoree’s came to JPG before the event to have headshot’s taken. Not only does JPG cover large events like non charity ball, but enjoys capturing the likeness of these generous fundraisers.
Thank you for this opportunity, and let’s all come together to find a cure.
