Philadelphia Eagles Tight End Brent Celek’s Charity Dinner
This is JPG’s second consecutive year getting to hang out with some buff football players. And it’s the second consecutive year that every woman in the office sits around and drools over every image we get of them.
Philadelphia Eagles player Brent Celek and his teammates work to raise money for his foundation, which brings toys and electronics to children in the hospital. The Take Flight Foundation seeks to provide ill and physically-challenged kids with support and opportunities to have tons of fun.
This year the event was sold out at Ocean Prime at 15th and Sampson where Eagles players including Riley Cooper, Mark Sanchez, Brad Smith, and Todd Herremans delivered entrees to guests. Patrons were served great food to complement great company and witnessed the event’s main benefactor, ACME markets, donate a giant check (monetarily and physically) amounting to $30,000!
Professional athletes often get a bad rep for their attitudes and egos, but it was great to have an event highlighting their kindness and servanthood. In the middle of their season with long, hard practices, we loved documenting an event where guys like Connor Barwin and James Casey took time to give back the support they constantly receive from fans.
We were honored to be a part of the evening and we love non-profit events like this Take Flight dinner. We look forward to Brent Celek’s upcoming annual Thanksgiving Food Drive with ACME, even if it’s partly so we can check out more of his muscles!
Best,
Joe G.
