Susan G. Komen’s Pink Tie Ball

What is the first thing that comes to your mind when you think of handcuffs, feathered boas and sleek satin opera gloves? If you said breast cancer awareness you’d be right on. JPG Photography indulged in a night of revelry with the Young Professionals Group of Philadelphia at their Susan G. Komen Pink Tie Ball.

This year JPG gave away ten photo booths to charity. We chose to give the Susan G. event our grand prize, donating both our photo booth and the time of photographer Dave Christenson for the evening. The fundraiser was held at Vie which is part of the Cescaphe Event Group. We’ve shot many-a-wedding with Cescaphe and were delighted to be shooting another fantastic event put on by them!

Susan G. Komen is the most recognized name in the fight to end breast cancer. The foundation has invested nearly two billion dollars into research, community health outreach, and other supportive programs. Several of our JPG family members have had loved ones who have faced breast cancer. We could not have chosen a more noble cause to contribute to.

The evening was most memorable as it was themed Fifty Shades of Pink. Guests certainly  achieved a range of fifty shades in their stylish threads.  Handcuffs served as place holders. We premiered our new sparkly photo booth backdrop which was a huge hit! Some very large temple football players crowded themselves into the photo booth donning hot pink boas. It was a sexy thing. While we were there we got to meet some of Philly’s Young Professionals. The group is supported by the Komen foundation and encourages professionals to use their skills and knowledge to network in the hopes that they will become life long supporters of the cause.

We are proud to donate our services to Susan G. Komen Philadelphia. Thank you for all you do for the fight against breast cancer. JPG will continue to “Think Pink”.
