Working Towards the Cure with Cystic Fibrosis’ Finest

The past twenty years have shown remarkable strides in advancing medical technology, providing condition relief and cures. In the case of cystic fibrosis, the search for treatments continues with the help and funding of both donors and volunteers for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. JPG Photography was humbled to be invited to Philadelphia’s Finest 2015 event, celebrating the heroes of the nonprofit organization and continuing fundraising efforts.

Their Philadelphia’s Finest gala, which we attended last year as well, takes the time to recognize the positivity and support for events like the Great Strides Walk, as well as acknowledging the help from young volunteers. It’s a great way to show their appreciation for those who dedicate their time and energy into helping others who have life-altering conditions. In the past, these galas have had delicious food options like sushi and noodle bowls, and featured exciting activities like silent auctions (which continues to help raising funds for needed research).

JPG recently joined in and became official sponsors for the cystic fibrosis walk event back in early May, where we documented loads of sponsored families and friends at Citizens Bank Park, who came together to show their continued support in CF research. We’ve also made friends with current Miss Philadelphia Julia Rae, who suffers from the condition and consistently volunteers her time to help those in the same situation. She displayed her strength and determination to us in an amazing and emotional photo that we snapped featuring her medical equipment.

JPG Photography wants to help showcase the good work happening around the city, especially when it comes to organizations like the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. It aligns perfectly with our mission to highlight nonprofits and charities in order to increase awareness. We were honored to return to the Sheraton Society Hill for this fun event, and we will be offering our continued support for the cause!

Best, Joe G.
