Photography Workshop with JPG!

Back in March, JPG held our full-day photography workshop for anyone looking to perfect their photography craft. Our four photography students for the day bonded and learned tricks and techniques that took them from instagramographers to real photographers!

Our students ranged from clients to family friends, so it was cool seeing people from all walks of life learning the same techniques to shooting great photography. During the day we covered tips ranging from how to get the best lighting, to depth of field, to aperture and space.

For the first half of the day, we photographed our clients Dori and Alan who are set to be married next year along with Alan’s son. We shot in the park around the corner from our studio, using foliage as the backdrop. We ended up looking like a bunch of paparazzi with all of us surrounding them.

Not only was I a student photographer, but I also served as a model with my family for the second half of the session. My kids raced up and down Kelly Drive on their scooters to give the other photographers a chance at some action shots. At one point, they almost knocked out a biker stepping out onto the bike path, which made for some funny pictures.

We had a blast learning and teaching our fellow photography fanatics how we get the beautiful, professional shots that we do at JPG Photography. Keep an eye out for our next workshop and be sure to sign up!

Best,
Stacey
