With having been in the wedding photography business for so long, JPG knows that while rain can negatively impact a big day, the weather is only a small piece of the wedding day puzzle. It was family and fun that mattered most at Alexis and Chris’s wedding at the Rosebank Winery in Newtown, PA.
On Alexis and Chris’s big day, it rained. And then it rained some more. And when it wasn’t raining, it was raining! So the weather wasn’t the best, but Alexis was calm and collected throughout the day.
The wedding party got ready for the day at the Homewood Suites at Newtown. From there, we all took a school bus to the ceremony and reception location at the Rosebank Winery. The exposed wooden beams in the ceiling of the Rose Ballroom gave the wedding a rustic, natural feeling.
At the reception, a lot of fantastic wine was going around! The buffet style dinner was awesome with all kinds of southern comfort food, including mac and cheese, collard greens and pulled pork. Delish.
Alexis’ father-daughter dance was truly unforgettable. Her brother sang their song and Alexis’ father was so emotional, he cried the entire time. For the rest of the night, the dance floor was packed! I’d say the energy was definitely above average and it was great watching everyone let their hair down and have a blast.
Thank you, Alexis and Chris, for choosing us as your wedding photojournalists to document your day. We wish you all the best as you take these first steps together as husband and wife.
