Erica and Todd’s story began while they were serving the city of Philadelphia as attorneys in the DA Office. If their devotion and love for our city is anything like the love they share with each other, than I know that the city we all adore is in good hands.
Erica and her girls got ready at the Omni Hotel on Independence Mall, one of JPG’s familiar locations. We love the Omni for it’s variety of rooms where large windows let in plenty of natural light for shadow and silhouette shots.
All praises go to Todd for his first look reaction! Erica, looking radiant, came up behind him on Independence Mall and when he turned around to see her, utter elation showed on his face as his jaw dropped. Their first look set the tone for the rest of our portraits as we grabbed some fun ones on Independence Mall and later in old Society Hill, where the streaming light accentuated the colonial architecture of the city. The couple fit perfectly there, looking elegant as they walked the cobblestone streets.
I remember the Downtown Club before the Cescaphe Event Group took it over a year ago and transformed it into the amazing venue we shot in this day. The previous owners treated vendors like us despicably, and I am so relieved at the incredible work Cescaphe has done with it, now that they are running the show. Erica and Todd were married by one of their favorite judges who candidly talked about their talents, work ethic, and commitment to each other as he added both humor and a personal touch to their ceremony.
For the first time as wife and husband Erica and Todd made their entrance into their reception greeted by cheers and Downtown Club tradition of the flower-petal cannon! One of my favorite moments was when the band gave them a microphone and they sang with the band.
Erica and Todd it was a pleasure to celebrate with you and we wish you everlasting joy together.
Best, Joe G.
