Kasey & Ryan’s Wedding in Glenmoore, PA

It’s not every day that one of JPG’s own gets hitched! Kasey is dearly missed as our most recent blogger, but we know she’s going to do some amazing things in her future. It was a joy to witness Kasey’s marriage to her husband Ryan in Glenmoore, PA.

Kasey and Ryan’s wedding took place at Ryan’s parent’s home in Chester County. Kasey and her mother handmade her wedding dress for the big day and it fit her perfectly! The ceremony in an open field was small and intimate. The decorations were no-nonsense and pretty, exactly like Kasey. Prior to their walk down the aisle, Kasey and Ryan shared their first look and took a romantic stroll through the woods.

Before the ceremony, the couple hit a few bumps; their officiant ended up being a little late, but Kasey was calm and went with the flow. Kasey and Ryan chose the specific passages that they wanted read at their ceremony and they had selected family and friends to read them. Kasey’s father read from a sweet children’s book that he read to Kasey as a child.

After the ceremony, Kasey and Ryan led everyone in a planned walk. Along the way, guests stopped at a canvas with a painted tree and left green fingerprints for leaves, signing their name and email address as a guest book. Kasey’s dad and Ryan’s mom made all the food served at the reception, including cheeses and crackers, hummus, a crepes bar, and gluten-free and vegetarian options for Kasey. Many toasts from friends and family were given. Kasey’s step-sister’s was particularly emotional as she recalled always wanting a sister growing up and was overjoyed to find one in Kasey.

The photo booth was a huge hit with Kasey and her guests! Kasey and Ryan even posed with a couple of Ryan’s chickens; the photo by our own Grace Savage actually made it onto Huffington Post’s wedding page!

Kasey, I’m blessed to have had you as a former student and a member of the JPG team; you’ll always be regarded as one. As you and Ryan move to Wisconsin to attain your Masters in Fine Arts, we wish you all the love and luck in the world in this new phase of your lives.

Best,
Rebecca
