JPG Photography loves to shoot Jewish weddings. From the traditional signing of the ketubah, to the festive dancing of the Hora, it’s a fun time for everyone who’s a part of it! Jodi and Douglas’ wedding at Temple Beth El in Voorhees took the cultural festivities to a new intimacy by having everything held inside their synagogue, and we couldn’t have been more pleased with the entire celebration.
The couple prepared for the day at the Aloft Hotel in Mount Laurel, New Jersey, where Jodi showed so much love and excitement for what was to come that afternoon. They shared their first-looks at a nearby park, where we were able to capture some awesome couple’s photos around the autumn foliage.
It’s a rare occasion to be invited to a wedding fully held at a synagogue. It’s also rare that photography is allowed in these holy surroundings. But Temple Beth El was more than gracious and helpful to us as we were allowed to document their entire day throughout the facility. After the ketubah signing, the beautiful ceremony under the chuppah and the beautiful breaking of the glass, Jodi and Douglas took some time alone to cherish their new bond.
The party moved to the reception area, where there was plenty of drinking and dancing with family and friends. Some of the guests donned silly sombreros and oversized glasses as they took to the dance floor! Towards the end of the night, we stole the couple away for some magical moments with a passionate kiss between sparklers and smiles.
Thank you so much to Jodi and Douglas for bringing JPG in for your big day. Here’s to many more years of celebration and love for the both of you!
