Patricia and Dennis made their wedding a beautiful neighborhood affair. Every venue was within walking distance to keep it intimate, even though it was December.
Patricia got ready at her home and then walked with her bridesmaids to St. Anthony’s Catholic Church. The red roses and silk elbow gloves on Patricia gave an old time classic feel, and after the ceremony they lit candles inside the punched-tin lanterns that she and her bridesmaids made, and walked over to the reception venue holding the romantic lights.
An exciting moment during the reception was when they did an Eastern European custom of cleaning up a plate. Someone threw a plate on the ground and the two of them had to work together to sweep it up! The better teamwork, the better marriage! Great work cleaning that up guys!
At the end Dennis was insistent that he carry Trisha home from the venue. He wanted to ramp up the “carry her over the threshold” gesture to an 11. It was a seven or eight block journey, but Dan committed, and carried her the whole way! Their laughter and love was infectious and warmed the chilly December air. Congratulations to you both!
