Sari and Kel’s celebration at Front and Palmer was exactly the kind of wedding JPG Photography loves, with no shortage of goofiness, excitement, and precious moments worth capturing. Sari, expressive in her vibrancy for life, showed her energy and quirkiness in her many faces; outshining all of them was her contagious smile. One of the funniest parts of getting ready was the stickers that she and her bridesmaids pinned on everyone, including mine, “Super Fantastic.” It was a beautiful moment when her dad saw her for the first time and she, of course gave him one too! Sari wore a stunning dress by Sabrina Ann in Ardmore and carried a bouquet by Cottage Flowers.
Kel proposed on Race Street Pier where we returned for the couple’s first look. When Kel saw his wife-to-be, he nearly wept. When a couple reacts like that you know they’re going to make it. After portraits in front of the Benjamin Franklin Bridge, we headed to Reading Terminal Market for more fun. At Iovine Brother’s, Sari and Kel perused around picking out fruit together as if they were on a date, allowing them to be themselves and forget the pressures of the day. Despite their efforts to remain incognito, the market took notice and gave a shout out to Sari and Kel over the PA system. Wonder what gave them away?
The ceremony, decorated with dozens of candles – added elegance to an industrial setting. To commemorate the autumnal equinox st the reception, guests toasted to new beginnings with two signature cocktails, “Goodbye Summer” and “Hello Fall” at the reception where the groomsmen flawlessly performed the toast they practiced earlier. Dan Breslin from Silver Sound DJs got everyone on their feet. With lots of cheers from friends and family, there is no doubt our couple felt like rock stars.
Sari and Kel we wish you happiness in this new season of life.
