JPG sees a lot of outdoor weddings this time of year. While they’re beautiful for us to photograph, we can never depend on the weather to give us a perfect day. Val and Bryan got lucky at their sunny outdoor ceremony at the Tyler Arboretum in Media, PA.
Usually, we’re the ones traveling to shoot destination couples, but in this case, they came to us! Val and Bryan came all the way down from Connecticut to have their wedding at the Tyler Arboretum. Val and her bridesmaids got ready for the day in the “barn,” a room at the back of the venue.
Instead of flowers, the groomsmen’s boutonnieres were little pinwheels, something I’ve never seen before. The bridesmaids held pinwheels in place of bouquets to match.
We shot Val and Bryan’s first look in a cute painted building on one of the arboretum’s trails. Bryan was ecstatic to see his bride for the first time. Their ceremony in a small field was intimate with close family and friends, surrounded by beautiful gardens and trees.
A unique touch at their reception came as the centerpieces on their tables. Each was a miniature terrarium with Legos and Scrabble pieces inside that showed the couple’s fun personalities.
Val and Bryan, thank you for choosing us at JPG to capture your beautiful wedding day. We wish you health and happiness for a long and blessed life together.
